Emergency Planning

Emergency Operations Centre

RM of Hanover has a volunteer based Emergency Operations Centre Team that is led by the Emergency Operations Coordinator, Paul Wiebe, RM of Hanover Fire Chief. During an emergency, the Emergency Operations Centre will be activated to provide assistance to residents following RM of Hanover's Emergency Plan.

The Emergency Operations Centre Team meets approximately four times per year to review the emergency plan and prepare for potential emergencies.

Emergency Plan

The RM of Hanover Emergency Plan adopted its first emergency plan in 1989. The plan includes situations such as winter storm hazards, explosive hazards, severe weather and tornadoes, and hazardous products and spills.  A hazard analysis for the municipality as well as action guidelines for the Emergency Operations Team are also part of the emergency plan.
